Dr. Teresa Goldsmith is contracted with and an in-network provider for many major health insurance companies including:
- Regence
- Premera
- Lifewise
- KPS
- Cigna
- Aetna
- First Choice Health Network
- United Healthcare including Medicaid UHC plans
Kaiser Permanente: For most Kaiser plans, Dr. Teresa is considered an “out of network” provider. Some Kaiser plans coordinate with First Choice Health Network, in this case Dr. Teresa is considered an in-network provider.
Insurance coverage and benefits vary greatly between plans and companies. The best way to find out if you have Naturopathic medicine coverage is to call the number on the back of your insurance card. This is best done prior to your first visit!
Good questions to ask when you call your insurance company:
- Do I have Naturopathic coverage on my plan?
- What is my copay?
- Do I have co-insurance (this is a percentage that you would pay for the visit)?
- How much is my deductible?
- Do I have other types of benefits (Massage, Physical Therapy, etc.)?
Patients with no health insurance or a plan that does not cover Naturopathic Medicine are offered a 20% discount for services. This is called a “time of service” discount, and is collected in office the same day as your appointment.
Service rates depend on the length and complexity of the visit.
Medicinal herbs and nutritional supplements recommended by Dr. Teresa are not covered by insurance.
Dr. Teresa is happy to provide an itemized receipt for patients who can be reimbursed for these health expenses through their employer. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can be used for services and supplements at ECIM.
Payment methods accepted: cash, check, debit cards, HSA and FSA cards. Mastercard, Visa and American Express cards are also accepted.
