Meet Dr. Fitzpatrick:
Moira Fitzpatrick, PhD, ND, FICPP, CHT
Moira Fitzpatrick is a licensed clinical psychologist, clinical hypnotherapist and a naturopathic physician, who graduated from Bastyr University and did a residency in Women’s Health and Integrative Medicine with Tori Hudson, ND through the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland Oregon. Dr. Fitzpatrick is the founder of Emerald Center for Integrative Medicine and practices both naturopathic medicine and psychology in the Northgate area of Seattle. She has been practicing psychology for over 25 years and was the founder of Hanbleceya, Inc. a therapeutic community for the seriously mentally ill in La Mesa California.
Dr. Fitzpatrick was the Director of Clinical Training and core faculty member at the American School of Professional Psychology in Pt. Richmond California. She has given lectures, seminars and workshops internationally over the course of the last 20 years. Dr. Fitzpatrick writes a monthly column for New Spirit Journal, a local newspaper published in the Pacific Northwest. She also is on the Board of Trustees of the world-renowned Bastyr University.
Dr. Fitzpatrick practices functional medicine, which means that she looks at the interaction of the various systems in the body/mind and identifies dysfunction prior to a disease state. The patterns identified are then treated and the body and metabolism are supported.
Dr. Fitzpatrick specializes in the unique health care concerns of women. She is a primary care provider and serves both adolescents and adults. Often she sees the whole family. Dr. Fitzpatrick practices naturopathic psychiatry, offering both conventional and naturopathic alternatives to individuals suffering from mental disorders. Conventionally, Dr. Fitzpatrick is board certified in psychopharmacology through the International College of Prescribing Psychologists. Dr. Fitzpatrick meets the individual where s/he is and provides support to enable the individual to heal and create optimal health integrating mind, body and spirit.
